"Budget Smartphone" is the category now a days that each and every Mobile Manufacturer targets, and rightly so! Who would not love to have all the high end features in a budget smartphone? All the same features which are available in flagship devices are now available in sub 10k level devices! And mind it , this category is RED HOT currently with number of devices flooding this price range. After the advent of Micromax, Karbonn, Intex and more in this category Chinese Giant Xiaomi has been ruling the Mid and entry level budget smartphones in the recent time with their Redmi series.! Motorola Isn't an exception in any way! But ofcourse they have only a couple of devices that fall in this price range(below 10k).

In the past 2 months 4 devices, Moto E 2nd gen, Lenovo A6000, Huawei Honor Holly and recently Xiaomi Remi 2 are gaining a lot of attention in the world of smartphones. One main reason is the price at which they have been offered to the customers. They all cost you just  Rs. 6999/-. The reason I say "just" is because of the specs they provide! Yes, No doubt none of them is perfect , but still you cannot expect everything to be just perfect at this price point! So if you are planning to buy a new smartphone , you must take a  quick look at what each of theses device have to offer us.

 Moto E 2nd Gen:

 This isn't a bad device all together completely, but there are few better options at the same price with better camera and display. But yes this device wins on the OS Experience and build quality . If pure Android experience is what you are looking for and camera doesn't matter to you then go for this.!
Pros:
  1. Pure android experience with regular OS updates.
  2. Good Build quality
  3. 1.2 GHz Quadcore Processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM(Exapandable to 32Gb)
Cons:
  1. Average Camera, Both front and rear cameras.
  2. No LED flash on the back
  3. No OTG Support.

Lenovo A6000

This device is definitely better that Moto E 2nd Gen on terms of the camera, Processor(64 bit chipset), and the screen size(5 inch). But it has its own drawbacks as well. It runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.4 Version and their customized Vibe UI. Moto E is definitely better in build quality compared to this device. You can go for this device if you need a better camera, large display( ofcourse with a inferior resolution of 294ppi),

Pros:
  1. 5 inch Large display .
  2. 64 bit chipset.
  3. 2300 mAH Battery.
  4. Good Camera
  5. Dolby Digital Sound.
Cons:
  1. Low display resolution.
  2. Does not come with latest Android OS
  3. No OTG Support.
  4. No scratch-resistant glass.

Huawei Honor Holly
This device is for those who want to enjoy movies on their devices, mainly because it has a large 5 inch display and a better 16Gb internal storage! This device beats all its competitors in terms of the internal storage. 

 Pros:
  1. Large 5 inch Display.
  2. 16 GB intenal storage with expandable memory.
  3. Good Battery Backup.

 Cons:
  1. User Interface 
  2. No scratch-resistant glass

Xiaomi Redmi 2

Xiaomi has been successful in India with their range of products. Xiaomi Redmi 2, is the Successor of the Redmi 1s. Nothing much has changed in the Redmi 2 from the hardware point of view except that it has a 2MP front snapper and a upgraded 2200 mAH battery. From the Software perspective, It comes with the brand new MIUI 6. It looks brilliant, feels smooth and offers quite some features which you  would not really get on other devices.

 Pros:
  1. Good Camera
  2. New  Refreshing MIUI 6.
  3. Dragontail Scratch proof glass.
  4. Excellent display and good resolution(312 ppi)
  5. LTE support on both sims.

Cons:
  1. Some Apps crash occasionally.
  2. Apps cannot be moved to SD card.
